Privacy

If you use the contact form, you send us your name, email address, phone number (if you add one) and your message. It comes to us by email so we can reply. Formspree delivers the form and keeps a copy of each message in its records. We use your details only to answer you. We never sell them, and we never add you to a mailing list without asking. Please don't send health details through the form; we're happy to talk about those in person or by phone.

Booking an appointment online happens on Jane, our online scheduler, which has its own privacy policy.

We count visits so we know which pages are useful. The counts come from Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn't identify you. For each visit it records the page, the site you came from, your general location (country, region and city), and your type of device and browser. It tells one visitor from another with a code that is thrown away after 24 hours, so nothing links your visits over time. We only ever see the totals, and they're kept for up to a year.

This site doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. The map on our home page comes from Google Maps, and Google may use its own cookies when the map loads. The site's fonts come from Google Fonts, which doesn't set cookies. The spam check on the contact form, Cloudflare Turnstile, doesn't use cookies either.

The site is hosted on Vercel by OBdesign, the Salt Spring and Victoria web studio that built it. Neither of us sells or shares your information.

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Just email info@somavictoria.ca.
